About the Riparian Buffer Mini Grant
RRWP has money available to provide landowners along the Rogue River and its tributaries $500 to purchase native plants in Spring 2023. This program is funded through a grant from Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) in partnership with the Kent Conservation District. RRWP is willing to work with grant recipients to organize volunteer events to install these buffers on properties if requested.
Who is Eligible?
Landowners within the Rogue River Watershed who have properties along the Rogue River itself or one of its tributaries (outlined on the map to the right) are eligible for a $500 mini-grant and installation support. Below is a visualization of what a buffer might look like on your property in the years following installation. Landowners along the Rogue River will be provided sign below on to install near the buffer and inform passing river users on the role that the riparian buffer has on your property.
